Intravenous
Electrolyte replacement
Adult: Dose is dependant on age, weight and clinical condition of patient as well as laboratory results.
Child: Dose is dependant on age, weight and clinical condition of patient as well as laboratory results.
Special Precautions
Heary block, renal impairment, myasthaenia gravis; eclampsia, pregnancy. Monitor serum-magnesium concentrations.
Adverse Reactions
GI irritation, watery diarrhoea. Hypermagnesaemia (loss of deep tendon reflexes and respiratory depression).

Description: Magnesium acetate is a magnesium salt used in IV fluid and electrolyte replacement solutions.
